What is pure natural wood wax oil?

Sange Home  pure natural wood wax oil is an eco-friendly wood coating for wooden products, extracted from natural plants. It is mainly used for the painting of indoor solid wood furniture. Due to its natural properties, it has no pungent odor and does not contain harmful substances such as formaldehyde and toluene. With a high wax content, it significantly improves the hardness after application, featuring excellent wear resistance, scratch and abrasion resistance, as well as water and corrosion resistance. This effectively solves the problem of solid wood furniture being prone to friction damage.

Natural wood wax oil, commonly known as vegetable oil and wax wood coating, belongs to wood coatings but differs significantly from traditional wood coatings (commonly called paint).

-Raw Materials:
Traditional paint uses synthetic resins (such as polyurethane, acrylic, etc.) as the base, while wood wax oil uses vegetable oils and plant waxes (such as linseed oil, sunflower oil, Brazilian palm wax, etc.). The latter is safest for humans, more eco-friendly in both manufacturing and use, and consumes fewer environmental resources.

-Usage Effects:
Wood wax oil penetrates the wood without forming a film, preserving the original wood texture while protecting it. Traditional paint forms a plastic-like film on the surface, affecting the natural touch and luster of the wood. The film is prone to peeling and warping, making refurbishment and maintenance tedious.

-Application Methods:
Wood wax oil has no distinction between primer and topcoat—simply apply 1-2 coats without sanding between applications. Traditional paint requires over 5 coats (including primers and topcoats), with sanding needed between each coat.

The storage stability of a product is always stated in our product information sheets or on the product label. When kept dry and free of frost, our oil-based finishes can normally be stored up to approx. 3 years in the original closed container.

Product coverage can also be found in our product information sheets. It changes from product to product and depends greatly on the condition of the wood. All details on our labels refer to smooth and planed/sanded wood surfaces. Other surfaces may lead to discrepancies in product coverage.

Leftover product and empty packaging should be disposed of according to the local regulations. Only completely emptied cans can be recycled. Wash out any used cloth impregnated with this product immediately after use or store in an airtight metal container (danger of self-ignition).

The coating method for each product is adjusted according to its characteristics and application scope. To apply Sange Home wood wax oil correctly, we recommend referring to the detailed instructions on the packaging of each product or consulting our authorized dealers nationwide.

No, this should not be done. If the existing finish is a lacquer, our finish cannot penetrate the wood pores and it will not adhere to the surface.

Generally, Sange Home  wood wax oil does not require dilution. Before use, please stir it thoroughly and apply it directly.

How long a wax lasts depends not only on the product itself, but also on the location and environment the wood surface is in. Renovating a wax surface requires careful consideration of these factors – by regularly observing the condition of the wax surface, you will be able to determine when the wax surface needs to be renovated.

This depends on the specific product and the customer’s allergens. All Sangge wood wax oil products are made from natural vegetable oil wax and do not contain so-called “ecological solvents” that may cause allergies. If you have concerns about whether using Sangge wood wax oil products may cause allergies, you can contact us for detailed product specifications or consult your family doctor.
It is not necessary to wear protective clothing when applying Sango Wax, but it is best to avoid direct contact with your hands and eyes. When you are sanding the wood surface, always wear a dust mask.
If you are sensitive to dry skin, it is completely fine to wear liquid-resistant gloves.

After the wood wax oil has dried for about 24 hours, the floor can be put into light use, and furniture with legs (to allow ventilation at the bottom of the furniture) can also be placed on the floor after the same period of time. Furniture or items with no ventilation at the bottom, such as blankets or floor mats, must be placed on the floor at least one week after the hard wax oil has dried, so that the wood wax oil on the floor surface has enough time to completely dry (the specific time depends on local climate, humidity and other environmental factors).

Since all Sango products are made from natural plant oils, which are frost-resistant, all Sango Wax products can be used at temperatures below freezing.
When applying the wax, it is important to ensure that the wood surface is clean, dry and frost-free. For best results, we recommend that you leave the product at room temperature for 24 to 36 hours.
In addition, Sango Wax products should not be applied at temperatures above 35°C to avoid drying too quickly.

Yes, both temperature and humidity will affect cure time. Generally, the lower the temperature and the higher the humidity, the longer the cure time. Our estimated cure times are based on application at room temperature and normal humidity conditions.
